🛒 Grocery list

A grocery list that sorts itself by aisle

Say what you need. voisNTS puts every item in the right aisle, adds up the counts and remembers what you always buy.

Since 1.6iPhone · MacFree
Download on the App Store

The grocery list in voisNTS is built for the moment you’re standing in the shop. Items are grouped by aisle, so you walk through the supermarket once. Counts add up when you add the same thing twice, and staples like milk and bread come back with one tap after every shop.

How it works

  1. Make the list

Open the Lists tab, tap + and choose Grocery list. You get an empty list called Groceries; tap the name to rename it.

  2. Add items by voice or typing

Tap the microphone and say “milk, two avocados and sourdough bread”, or type it in the field. Each item lands in its aisle — Fruit & veg, Bakery, Dairy & eggs and so on.

  3. Adjust counts

Every item has − and +. At 1, the minus removes the item (with Undo). Adding “milk” again raises the count instead of making a second line.

  4. Tick off while you shop

Tap the circle or swipe right. Ticked items move to “In the basket” at the bottom; swipe left to delete.

  5. Clear after shopping

Tap Clear under “In the basket”. Staples don’t disappear: they wait in the Staples tray at the top, one tap to add them again next week.

Tips

  • Hold an item and choose Mark as staple for the things you buy every week.
  • Put an item in another aisle once (hold it → Change aisle) and voisNTS remembers that aisle next time.
  • Suggestions appear while you type, based on what you added before.
  • Say “add bananas and coffee to groceries” on the main record screen — no need to open the list.
  • From 1.7: List menu → Edit aisles puts the aisles in the order of your own supermarket. Add a second shop and switch with the shop chip.
  • From 1.7: tap Recipe, type “lasagne for 4” or paste a recipe, tick the ingredients you need and add them.

Questions

Does the grocery list work without Apple Intelligence?

Yes. Without Apple Intelligence, voisNTS uses built-in English and Dutch keywords to pick the aisle. Apple Intelligence makes it better at unusual items.

Can I share the grocery list with my partner?

You can share it as text today (List menu → Share as text). Editing one list together through iCloud sharing is on the roadmap.

What happens to staples after I clear the list?

They move to the Staples tray at the top of the list. Tap one to put it back on the list.

Can I turn a recipe into a grocery list?

From 1.7: tap Recipe and paste a recipe, or type a dish and the number of people. voisNTS lists the ingredients; things already on your list start unticked, so you only add what you need.
